Stela now treats billing status and workspace access as separate things. That keeps protected workspaces locked when they should be locked, while still preserving the path a billing owner needs to restore service. This update tightens a sensitive part of workspace access: Billing recovery stays reachable — A workspace with a lapsed subscription can still reach the billing flow needed to restart service, instead of being hidden from the owner entirely. Protected workspaces stay protected — A workspace that has been intentionally locked can no longer be reopened by an unrelated billing event. Access decisions are more consistent — Stela now resolves whether a workspace should be usable in one shared way, reducing the chance that different parts of the app disagree about the same workspace.
