Short answer

Use X's Under the Hood page. On Oct 30, 2026, X Open Source announced that it now lists which of your posts got a label that limits who sees them. Here is the exact wording: "Under the Hood now shows you which posts received a visibility-limiting label, making it easier to see what’s affected." The page is at https://x.com/i/jf/under_the_hood.

There is one catch worth knowing before you open it. X Open Source also wrote, "You’ll see the specific posts listed when fewer than 5% of your posts during the report period have that label." So the list of individual posts depends on how much of your posting in that period carries the label.

Elon Musk quoted the announcement and put it this way: "You can now find out if any reach limitations have been applied to your account." Musk's wording talks about the account, while X Open Source's wording talks about labels on posts, so this page sticks to what X Open Source actually announced.

Steps

An example report page, not the one in X's announcement. It's here to show the layout, not as a result to compare yours against.

Step 1: Open https://x.com/i/jf/under_the_hood. That is the link X Open Source gave in its announcement.

Step 2: Find the report period. The example above and the screenshot in the announcement both show a report with the lines "Posts in period," "Period," and "Report generated." In the announcement's screenshot, the period is "Sep 1, 2026 to Sep 30, 2026 UTC," so a report covers a stretch of time, not just today.

Step 3: Read the "Post labels" section. In both the example above and the announcement's screenshot, it is described as "Labels that could limit post visibility and were on your posts at any point in this period." In the announcement's screenshot, the label shows how many of the posts in the period had it, such as "2 of 229 posts · 0.87%."

Step 4: Read what the label means and what it does. The example label in the announcement's screenshot is SPAM_HIGH_RECALL. Under "What it means," it says "Post detected by automated systems as one that may contain spam." Under "Effect on visibility," it says "Post hidden from recommendations to non-followers."

Step 5: If fewer than 5% of your posts in the period have the label, look for the list of specific posts. In the announcement's screenshot, each listed post shows a date and a post ID, such as "Sep 11" next to "2098452077628882945."

Step 6: Read the "Account labels" section too. In the example report page above, it is described as "Labels that could limit post visibility and were on your account at any point in this period."

Step 7: Keep the caveat in mind. The report page says, "This report is provided on a best-effort basis — the code that generates it is open-source." Treat the report as a helpful clue, not a final verdict.

What this answer can and can't tell you

We wrote this page from X's announcement, the screenshot in it, and the example report page in the Steps section, so it doesn't say whether the page asks you to sign in.

The announcement only talks about labels on posts. It doesn't say what you'll see when 5% or more of your posts in the period have the label, and it doesn't say that a clean report means nothing else is limiting your reach.

My experience with a spam label

This part comes from my own experience, not from anything X has documented. On Oct 23, 2026, I wrote on X: "The spam label on my account is gone. I used Request Review in the X app, and X wrote back, 'The label has been removed because your account was not found to contain spam or engage in other types of platform manipulation.' If you hit the same label, try Request Review." (my post) We haven't seen whether Under the Hood links to a review option, so look for one on the page itself.
