Why didn't my Grok Bot usage reset with SuperGrok?

Grok Bot usage is metered on your Cursor account, not on Grok or X, and resets weekly on its own timer. Eligible accounts can add on-demand usage.

Short answer

It depends on whether you've switched to The X Subscription. If you haven't, your Grok Bot usage is not counted on Grok. Cursor's plans page says "Grok Bot usage is metered on your Cursor account, not on Grok or X," and a SuperGrok link "does not create a second meter on Grok or X." [1] The page also says that usage "resets weekly," but it doesn't say which day, so we won't guess. [1]

If you've switched, "your Grok Bot usage entitlement will come from the new weekly shared pool." [3] Once that pool runs out, "Additional Usage is paid from prepaid top-up credit." [4] To check, the docs say: "After switching: on grok.com/dashboard, open Usage." [3]

Steps

To keep going before the reset, the page says on-demand is "extra usage after weekly usage runs out." The FAQ says "eligible accounts can add on-demand usage." On-demand is "Billed through Cursor."

Step 1: In Grok Bot, open Settings > Usage & Billing.

Step 2: Find On-demand monthly limit and choose Enable if it is off.

If it still fails

If you subscribed in the iOS or Android app, the page says to "enable on-demand on the web." The docs don't say whether a SuperGrok link counts as eligible.

What users are reporting (not official)

We collected these first-hand reports from X. They are not official and we couldn't verify them.

These reports suggest checking both the usage and spending pages. The switch report is from a single user, and the docs don't promise a reset when you change plans.
