On an iPhone 15 Pro or later, set the Action Button to Grok Bot's Start Voice Chat shortcut. No Action Button? Try Back Tap or the in-app button.

Grok Bot now has an official way to make the Action Button start a voice chat with your Bot. I checked Grok Bot's official post on X, and it says, "On an iPhone 15 Pro or later, update Grok Bot to 1.16." Further down, it says, "Then go to Settings → Action Button, swipe to Shortcut, and choose Grok Bot → Start Voice Chat."
If your iPhone doesn't have an Action Button, you can try Back Tap, and voice chat works in the phone app either way. I checked Cursor's voice chat help page, and it says, "Open the chat with the Bot. Leave the message box empty. Choose Start voice chat."
If your iPhone has an Action Button:
Step 1: Update the Grok Bot app from the App Store, so it's on version 1.16 or newer.
Step 2: Open your iPhone's Settings and go to Action Button.
Step 3: Swipe to Shortcut.
Step 4: Under Grok Bot, choose Start Voice Chat. Make sure it's listed under Grok Bot and not the regular Grok app, since they're two separate apps.
If your iPhone doesn't have an Action Button, try Back Tap. I haven't tested this on a phone without an Action Button, so I can't promise the Grok Bot shortcut shows up there.
Step 1: Update the Grok Bot app from the App Store, so it's on version 1.16 or newer.
Step 2: Open your iPhone's Settings, then go to Accessibility, Touch, and Back Tap.
Step 3: I checked Apple's iPhone User Guide page on Back Tap, and it says, "Choose Double Tap or Triple Tap, then choose an action." Running a shortcut is one of those actions.
Step 4: If Start Voice Chat shows up under Grok Bot, pick it. I didn't find on Apple's Back Tap page or in xAI's docs whether it appears in the Back Tap list, so treat this step as untested.
Step 5: Double-tap or triple-tap the back of your iPhone, whichever one you set.
Voice chat also works in the phone app itself:
Step 1: Open the chat with the Bot.
Step 2: Leave the message box empty.
Step 3: Choose Start voice chat. It's the waveform button in the message box.
If the button only opens the app, it may be set to the app itself rather than Start Voice Chat, so go back to Step 4 of the Action Button steps and pick Start Voice Chat under Grok Bot.
If you don't see Start voice chat inside the app, clear the message box first. If it's empty and you still don't see it, update Grok Bot.
I checked Apple's Shortcuts guide page on running shortcuts with Siri, and it says, "You can ask Siri to run any shortcut in your collection." Because that official post shows Start Voice Chat as a Grok Bot shortcut, I'd try asking Siri for it once you've updated the app. I haven't tested that, so I can't promise it works.
I didn't find Action Button or Back Tap setup in xAI's docs or Cursor's help pages. I checked xAI's Grok Bot for Mobile page and Cursor's voice chat help page.
I also didn't find whether the Start Voice Chat shortcut shows up on an iPhone without an Action Button.
