There's no official way to hide or remove Grok Bot from your X Chat or DM list that I can find, so I won't guess at a setting.
I checked Cursor's Grok Bot in X Chat help page, and it says, "You can chat with your Grok Bots in X Chat, in the X app on iOS and Android and on x.com. They're the same Bots you use in the Grok Bot app." That page covers who can use it and how to fix connection problems. It doesn't say anything about hiding the Bot from your message list.
There is, but it's a different thing. Hide from sidebar hides a Bot's row in the Grok Bot app, not in X Chat. On desktop, you right-click the Bot in the sidebar and choose Hide from sidebar, and the Bot stays active and keeps its history. The steps are on Cursor's Grok Bot how-to page.
I haven't seen anything official saying it changes what X Chat shows. Hiding also doesn't pause the Bot or its routines.
Some people have mentioned a filter in X Chat for showing or hiding bots. I couldn't confirm it on any official X or xAI help page, so I'm not passing it along as a fix. I'll update this page if I find an official answer.
If the Grok Bot entry in your X Chat list bothers you, email xAI support at support@x.ai with your X handle and ask whether it can be hidden or removed. X's About Grok help page explains how to delete your Grok Bot account and what happens when you add Grok to an X Chat group, but it doesn't cover hiding the entry from your message list.
