Can I use the Grok Bot desktop app with just a keyboard or a screen reader?
Yes, and a good part of it already works. You can dictate with Ctrl+D on Windows and Linux, or Command+D on a Mac.

Short answer
Yes, and a good part of it already works. You can dictate with Ctrl+D on Windows and Linux, or Command+D on a Mac. You can open the search palette with Ctrl+K or Command+K, and on a Mac you can open the full shortcut sheet with Command+slash. Screen readers announce replies, new questions, and who sent each message. There are a few rough spots, like no shortcut for voice chat yet, and I'll walk you through what's known.
Where this came from
@ALL_Jonah tested the desktop app using only a keyboard, with Windows Narrator reading the screen, and they shared what they found in their post. When something below comes from @ALL_Jonah's testing, I say so. Everything else comes from the official Grok Bot changelog.
Shortcuts you can use
Dictate: Press or hold Ctrl+D on Windows and Linux, or Command+D on a Mac. Press Enter to stop the recording.
Search and jump around: Ctrl+K or Command+K opens the search palette. It shows matching Bots, settings, actions, and routines first.
See every shortcut: On a Mac, press Command+slash. The sheet also opens from Help, the profile menu, and the command palette, so on Windows you can reach it through the palette too. @ALL_Jonah found that Ctrl+slash opens it on Windows in their testing.
Find in an open page: Ctrl+F or Command+F.
Quote what you selected: Select text in a chat and press Ctrl+L or Command+L to quote it in your next message.
Paste without formatting: Ctrl+Shift+V or Command+Shift+V.
Close a full-screen image: Press Escape.
Reorder attachments: Hold Alt and use the arrow keys.
In @ALL_Jonah's testing, Ctrl+I jumped straight to the message box. I couldn't find that in the official docs or changelog, so treat it as something to try rather than a promise.
What screen readers get
I checked the Grok Bot changelog, and it says, "Screen readers announce more of the app, including suggestions, new questions, and message authors, and keyboard focus is visible and stays inside full-screen viewers." Screen readers also announce a Bot's reply even when it arrives after the announcement that the Bot stopped. When you Tab to a link and its preview card opens, keyboard focus moves into the card.
Known limits
No voice chat shortcut. I didn't find one in the Grok Bot changelog or docs. In @ALL_Jonah's testing, the way in was to Tab to the voice chat button.
Tab inside the message box types a tab. That's on purpose. Tab inserts a tab in the message box, and inside a list it nests the item. That means Tab won't move you out of the message box, and I haven't found an official key that does, so I'm not going to guess at one.
Links get read first. In @ALL_Jonah's testing, Narrator stopped on every link and email address in a reply before reading the message itself. There's no official fix for that yet.
Number shortcuts for Bots. The sidebar shows number shortcut badges, but I didn't find anything in the changelog or docs about which keys they use.
If you rely on a keyboard or a screen reader, @ALL_Jonah's post is worth a read, and it's worth replying to with what you've found.
